Coaching options

At Be The Fear, I coach age-group triathletes training for IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 races who want more than a generic training plan. These athletes are motivated to achieve the best that they can and are ready to train confidently towards their goal.

You will get direct communication from me, your coach, with a program built around your goals, your abilities and your life. Every plan includes strength training to improve performance, reduce injury risk and support longevity in the sport.

I’ve been where you are: learning freestyle as an adult, chasing podiums, hitting burnout, and finding my way back to the sport I love. That journey shapes how I coach — with empathy, realism, and a focus on helping you reach your biggest goals without losing the joy along the way.

Coaching is a two-way street. You’ll get clear, consistent support and honest feedback so we can adjust as needed and make progress together. But communication goes both ways: your updates, feedback, and questions help guide your training and ensure we stay aligned.

Improvement takes effort. You don’t need to be perfect, but you do need to keep showing up. Bold goals take commitment, consistency, and courage.

Ironman Triathlon Coach Bec

I’m Bec Fear — a certified Ironman triathlon coach, strength specialist, and competitive age-group athlete who knows what it takes to go from learning freestyle as an adult to standing on the IRONMAN 70.3 podium. I’ve raced everything from sprint triathlons to full-distance IRONMANs, and my own journey has taken me from burnout to comeback — giving me a unique perspective on performance, resilience, and balance.

With a background in strength coaching and over a decade of experience helping others build fitness in both military and civilian environments - I create training that goes beyond just logging sessions. Every athlete I work with gets individualised support, integrated strength for longevity, and direct communication. Whether you're chasing your first IRONMAN finish line or qualifying for world championships, I’m here to help you train with confidence.
